Peace and Justice Division

Mission

The mission of the Division is to support members of our diocese as they strive "for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being"

The Millenium Development Goals (MDG)

The MDGs are 8 goals that were adopted by the UN in 2000 to eradicate extreme poverty. The 2006 General Convention passed a resolution making the MDGs a priority for the next triennium (2006-2009).

INTENT

  • encouraging each congregation to support the MDG by becoming a ONE campaign congregation

WE WANT

    • to know if you would like us to visit your congregation to inform and discuss the MDG and how you can support them.
    • we want a contact person in your parish.  We know much is going on to support the MDG and we want to celebrate these efforts by posting your parish's activities that support the MDG on this site.
